中考英語知識點：指示代詞的用法

　　指示代詞 在句子做主語，賓語，定語

　　1.this,these 指時間或空間較近的人或事物。The oldest building here is  this ,not that.

　　2.that，these指時間或空間較遠的人或事物

　　3.為了避免重復上文提到的名詞，使用that，those 代替，（that代替不可數名詞和單數名詞，those 代替復數名詞）The weather in Harbin is much colder than that in Beijing.

　　Bikes made in China are just as good as those made in Germany.中國產的自行車和德國產的一樣好。

　　The news is better than that.這個消息比那個好。

　　4.this 和that有時表示程度，相當于so

　　The races were not that interesting to watch比賽看起來不是那么有趣。

　　5 打電話時this指我，that指你。

　　Hello.This is Jim . Who’s that?

　　6.用于習慣用語中。That is 這就是說，即是.....That’s all .就這些。

　　That’s that 情況就是這樣
